Researchers from top universities, activists, business consultants and artists – over 40 new members started at Puistokatu 4!
In 2025, a total of 77 members will be building a more ecologically sustainable future at Puistokatu 4.
20 new researchers and 21 new agent members have started their work at Puistokatu 4. A further 25 researcher members and 11 agent members are continuing from last year’s membership.
The members were selected from 136 applications received in the November–December open call for applications. All researcher and agent members of Puistokatu 4 are united by their work for an ecologically sustainable future.
Researchers represent more than 30 disciplines
The new researcher members of Puistokatu 4 represent a total of 20 different universities or research institutes. They include professors and doctoral researchers from more than 30 disciplines: sustainability science, media studies, anthropology, philosophy, psychology etc.
“We want to act as a silo-breaker. Building an ecologically sustainable future requires all disciplines and especially cooperation between them”, says Minttu Jaakkola, Executive Director of Puistokatu 4.

Agents from activists to sustainability consultants
The agent members of Puistokatu 4 represent social and commercial actors. The newly elected members bring expertise to Puistokatu for example in the fields of sustainability consulting, documentary film-making and graphic design.
“Our member surveys from last year showed that the cooperation between researchers and agents is working fruitfully. It is exciting to see the kind of collaboration that will develop between our members this year,” says Jaakkola.
