Journalist and author Minna Salami gave a keynote speech on 4 December at Puistokatu 4 on what knowledge does the human kind need for the 21st century.
What kind of information do we need in our time of the polycrisis?
Minna Salami, known for her book Sensuous Knowledge and her award-winning MsAfropolitan blog, sought to answer the question in her keynote speech at Puistokatu 4 on 4 December.
Salami argued that our way of thinking, which emphasises rationality and disregards the information provided by our senses and instincts, is at the root of many social problems. According to Salami, building an ecologically and socially sustainable future requires a broader understanding, validation and harnessing of the sensuous knowledge.
